Owens started his first company when he was just 20 years old. He created an app that helped people plan their days. The app quickly became very popular and Owens was able to make a lot of money. However, after a few years, the app stopped being popular and Owens was forced to close it down.
The next business Owens started was much more successful. He founded a marketing agency called WordStream. WordStream quickly became one of the largest digital marketing firms in the world. Over the years, Owens has sold WordStream to AOL and then bought it back again. In total, he’s made over $200 million from his various businesses.
Despite his successes, Owens has also experienced some very tough times as an entrepreneur. For example, he lost most of his money in the stock market in 2008. This experience really taught him a lot about how important it is to stay disciplined.
